DEFINE THE FOLLOWING TERMS
1- The shoot system of a plant - The part of the plant above the ground is called shoot system. It consists of stem, branches, leaves, flowers and fruits.
2 - Transpiration - The process of loss of water from the leaves of a plant is called transpiration.
3 - Stomata -The tiny openings present at the lower surface of the leaves. They help in respiration and transpiration.
4 - Stamens - Many little stalks with swollen tops around the centre of the flower is called stamens. Stamens are the male parts of the flower.
5 - Primary roots - The root that originates at germination stage from the radicle of the seed is called primary root. During the growth it branches to form secondary roots.
